NYC Open Call 2026-27 Winning Proposals and Proposal Ranking
The NYC Open Call accepts ideas for group exhibitions to be presented at apexart in New York. The organizers of the five highest-ranked proposals will receive curatorial honorariums, funding for their exhibitions, and funding for exhibition-related public programming. Dates will be posted as they are determined.
We received 747 proposals voted on by an international jury of 1072 people from many disciplines. 79 countries were represented on both sides. In addition to many individuals, 27 international university classes made jurying part of their syllabus.
All jurors were asked to read at least 50 anonymous submissions, with many reading over a hundred. Over 36,000 votes were ultimately cast to determine the five winning proposals that will become exhibitions in the 2026-2027 season at apexart in New York City.
