Ranking - Open Call for Group Exhibitions in NYC 2018-19
Thank you for participating in the 2018-19 Open Calls Program. We received 509 proposals from people in 71 countries, which were voted on by an international panel of over 300 jurors (including students from 9 university classes around the world: Alfred University, New School, Evergreen State, Node Center, deAppel, RISD). Jurors were asked to read at least 50 anonymous proposals, and many read more. Together they cast 15,392 votes to determine the winning proposals.

Below is a ranking of all submitted proposals in order of highest total score. Proposals with the same total score share place positions and are ranked with the same number.

The three higest ranking proposals were submitted by: Evelyn Owen (Tracing Obsolescence), Alexandra Stock (Art in Custody), and Justin Tyler Tate (Peer2Pickle). The Open Call Program accepts ideas for group exhibitions to be presented at the apexart space in NYC. The organizers of the three highest-ranked proposals will receive curatorial honorariums, funding for their exhibitions, and funding for exhibition-related public programming.
