In conjunction with Weaving a Day, Mourning a Life

This curatorial walkthrough introduces Weaving a Day, Mourning a Life, led by curator Dala Nguyen. Moving through the exhibition, the tour unfolds the cultural and conceptual framework behind the project, rooted in the weaving practices of the Nùng An community in Phúc Sen, Cao Bằng, Northern Vietnam.

Each work is approached not as a static object, but as part of an ongoing process in which time, labour, and memory are materially accumulated. The walkthrough traces how daily acts of weaving are transformed into a collective cloth that accompanies life, death, and continuity and how photography, documentary film, sound, and textile installation each contribute to a layered understanding of ritual and lived experience.

The session invites audiences to consider how repetition, care, and material practice can hold and transmit memory across generations. Streamed live on Instagram to extend access beyond the gallery space.

20–25 minutes. Free and open to all.
