You are invited to quiz artists from the apexart International Open Call Exhibition, "Can you fuck it?" – The Fembot Phenomenon, about their process, opinions, and creative work. Curator Elena Knox will have a friendly, uncensored conversation with participating artist Mika Kan, during which they will present behind-the-scenes footage, extra interviews, and unpublished works. Participating artists Allison de Fren (USA) and Lin Xin (China) will join by chat to answer questions and offer further insights.

In exclusive mini-screenings, we will view Allison’s interview with DaveCat, a technosexual iDollator who is married to a synthetic partner; Mika’s process of impregnating her sex doll; Lin’s experience of producing hi-tech exhibitions in China with media artist Zheng Da, exploring glitch and desire; and Elena’s plan for weaponry that can be worn internally by robot sex workers. Elena Knox is a media/performance artist based in Tokyo. Her works stage enactments of gender, presence and persona in technoscience and communications media. Recent presentations include Yokohama Triennale, Bangkok Art Biennale, Beijing Media Art Biennale, Future and the Arts at Mori Art Museum, and Lux Aeterna at Asia Culture Center.
