If 'Bad Lament' expands as a platform into other regions, it can foster new communities with local people who engage in queer mourning practices.

The first performance of Bad Lament in New York took place in the streets—public spaces—drawing not only participating artists but also passersby into the affective atmosphere of a queer funeral shaped by Bad Mourning.

This time, we hope to enact a similar ritual in Seoul, forming a new community through its practice.

만약 ‘나쁜 애도’가 하나의 플랫폼으로써 다른 지역으로 확장된다면 우리는 퀴어한 애도를 통해 새로운 지역 공동체를 형성할 수 있다. 앞서 뉴욕에서 진행된 첫 번째 ‘나쁜 애도’는 거리, 즉 공공 장소에서 이루어졌으며, 참여 예술가들뿐만 아니라 지나가던 사람들까지도 ‘나쁜 애도’ 가 구성한 퀴어한 장례식의 정동으로 끌어들였다. 이번에는 서울에서 의례를 실천함으로써 또 다른 새로운 공동체가 만들어지기를 기대한다.
