Anton Osver (b. 1978, Baku, Azerbaijan) is a self-taught visual artist who creates paintings, installations, photographs, collages, and other artworks. He has worked for more than 10 years as a graphic designer in marketing departments of major companies in Azerbaijan creating advertising materials and corporate displays. Since 1999 he has participated in networks of artists in the Southern Caucasus that experimented with new ideas and explored the use of digital technology and multimedia in their art. Anton has exhibited and participated in multiple international projects in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Luxembourg, France, Greece, and other countries. He likes to travel and explore new cultures and places. He believes there are multiple points of view and the purpose of art is to challenge people to explore the unusual perspectives and dimensions of things that are considered familiar and ordinary. |
