The forces in power dont recognize us. They delegitimize us, dehumanize us and divide us, never letting us believe we can come together. And so we continue to drift. Doubting, misunderstanding, falling prey to the power play.

Lets come together to break that. Lets come together in celebration and in protest. In affirmative action, guided by poetry and art. Bring your original poems, or poems by those who inspire you, or just join in to energize the moment.

We gather together, not whitewashed under one identity, but rather bringing our own histories, and traumas, bring together our multiplicitous hopes and dreams for the futures we will manifest.

Those who are not in Delhi send us a poem through info@apexart.org and we will share it in the circle.

Shaunak Mahbubani is a nomadic curator currently based in New Delhi, India. They primarily pursue projects under the series Allies for the Uncertain Futures, which was initiated in 2016 and focuses on excavating the possibilities of socio-political, ecological, and techno-evolutionary futures through the lens of non-duality. They are keenly interested in complicating boundaries between the artwork and the viewer through the deployment of participatory devices, diffusions, and the use of alternatives to the white cube. Mahbubani is also currently Curator of Programming for The Gujral Foundation, an international not-for-profit foundation supporting art and culture.
