In conjunction with Death Rights

Yoga teacher and activist Lesley Ramsey will lead a yoga and breathwork session focused on the yogic perspective on death and grief.

Lesley Ramsey spent the first two decades of her professional life as a progressive organizer, rabble rouser, coalition builder and facilitator, advocate, and lobbyist. After an accomplished career in fighting mode, she took a break to reassess tactics and conduct a sort of cost-benefit analysis of that work on her life. She did some grieving she had been “too busy” to do before. And, after 20 years of study and practice, she became a full time yoga teacher.

An independent curator and art historian, Marian Cassey’s curatorial practice focuses on social engagement and building experimental approaches to historic narratives and spaces. She is especially driven to curate projects promoting LGBTQ+ artists and stories. Marian co-founded SXRVXVE, an interdisciplinary curatorial platform dedicated to creating and presenting projects and artists engaging with systems of power. SXRVXVE has since curated four projects across the U.S. and the U.K., working with over 90 artists from across the globe.
