5 Saturdays of Performance-related Events Each Saturday from Feb. 12 to Mar. 12,apexart will feature
a performance-related activity: an all day line-up of special
guest speakers, premieres of TV ads of contemporary artists,
bands collaborating with video artists, a traditional Afghan-food
tasting
performance, and other surprises. Following each Saturday event the gallery will
be open Tuesday to Friday 11-6 with video documentation of the event or the featured
work on view.

COME
TOGETHER (NYC)
by Harrell Fletcher FEBRUARY 12 11-7 pm

For
this all-day event, Portland-based artist Harrell Fletcher
invited 25 art-related people to each invite someone to do
a ten minute lecture/presentation/demonstration on a topic
of his or her choosing.

The Final Frontier FEBRUARY 19 7-9 pm

Six professional
TV Directors were “hired” to produce a commercial
on an artist and their work. Come to the “world premier”
of the commercials on Feb 19 and later view them online.
AUDIO/VIDEO FEBRUARY 26 8-11 pm

This
event pairs musicians - Growing, New Humans, and VOY - with
visual artists - Matthew Suib, Lisa Darms, and Kirby Conn
- in a new collaborative project enacted in live performances.

Eric Doeringer has copied works of more than forty famous contemporary
artists. This Saturday he will attend his booth of bootlegs
presenting a special work not by Maurizio.
