Full Youniverse Event Schedule

This event is free and open to the public. All programs are subject to change.
In the Divine Sound workshop we will use the potent power of sound to deepen our receptivity to messages from our intuition, subconsciousness, and/or ancestors. For those interested, divinatory tools will also be available: I Ching, OH cards, playing cards. Come with an intention, or a question. As a group, we will hold a safe and accepting space for each person to reflect upon and explore our intents, and the messages that arise for us. Space is limited to 4 visitors. RSVPs suggested. Walk-ins are welcome, space permitting.

Radical Reiki includes a customized energetic blend using tuning forks, crystals, chakra balancing, Shiatsu, master level Reiki, and intuition-based healing. Shannon O'Neil-Loyola's work is also touch based and interactive. You are also an active participant in your own healing. 4 individual sessions, 15 minutes each, RSVP required

An adventurous ensemble of some of New York's top vocal improvisers and composers working with each other and participants in exploring sound, spontaneous composition and group vocal work. Moving Star will be represented by Tom Cabaniss, Emily Eagan, Sasha Bogdanowitsch, Bonita Oliver, Sofia Ribeiro, Nick Demeris, Amy Carrigan, and Malia Kulp.

Through spontaneous and playful creation of music, we are taken on a group participatory journey. We are facilitated in a vocal, rhythmic, and movement based experience which brings us closer to each other and ourselves. Sounding NYC gathers monthly in resonant public spaces. We will be facilitated by 2 members Malia Kulp and Nick Demeris.

David Rothenberg and Katie Down have been playing together in odd capacities for over 15 years, in realms of animal conversation, wine tastings, and consciousness bending. Now the two downtown improvisers will open the musical dialogue to include pre-recorded whale songs and other environmental influences to explore ways of communication through musical language.

Sonergy is a term that includes sound and energy combined. This session, facilitated by Malia Kulp, Michael Jay, MJ Caselden, David Rothenberg, and Katie Down, is largely focused on meditation with people in shavasana or other poses that inspire deep relaxation while engaged in listening. With musicians playing gongs, bowls, sound sculptures, using voice and Reiki, the Sonergy session will provide a journey of deep listening and recalibration of the mind, body, and spirit.
