Illegal Kosmonavtika Opening Reception

Saturday, June 24, 2017, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
The Institute of Space Structures, Saguramo, Georgia
(outside of Tbilisi)

A bus will wait for event goers near the Radisson area, at the bicycle monument starting at 5 pm.

Illegal Kosmonavtika, organized by Magda Guruli & Mariam Natroshvili, is an apexart Franchise Exhibition.

Special performances scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.

Illegal Kosmonavtika (Russian for cosmonautics) is a quiet protest being made by young artists living and working in Georgia. Their outward target is the various state and corporate entities who currently own the exclusive rights to space research. Held in a decommissioned building of the Institute of Space Structures, the exhibition features site-specific works and documentation of workshops held in Tbilisi Geophysical Observatory.

Illegal Kosmonavtika is on view June 24 - July 22, 2017, at the Institute of Space Structures, Saguramo, Georgia, 11 am - 6 pm daily.
