Weiwei is a curator and the founding director of Vitamin
Creative Space , an independent exhibition space in Guangzhou,
China. Vitamin is an independent contemporary art organisation
based in Guangzhou. It is the first space in the Pearl River delta
dedicated to cross-art form practices, particularly in relation
to design and architecture. Vitamin provides a platform for cultural
exchange and dialogue through collaborations with artists and other
arts organisations.Recent projects include the group show Landscape
of Sur-Consumption, Asian Field by Antony Gormley and Playing
at home/Playing Away: the Maze of Reality (part of Zone of
Urgency at the 50th Venice Biennial, 2003).
Zhang Weiwei was recommended to apexart's Fellowship Program by
Christopher Phillips, Curator, International Center for Photography,
