MantraTea is a healing elixir blended, brewed, and blessed by The Light House. Each batch is created with organic ingredients and alkaline water, and is infused with a Sanskrit mantra and energywork vibrations. The apexart tea blend is "The Sun Swallows The Moon": ginger root + turmeric root + Holy Basil (Tulsi) + lemon balm + agave + cinnamon + black pepper + red pepper + magic. The mantra infusion is: "Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam Urvarukamiva Bandhanan Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat." (We meditate on the 3-eyed reality which permeates and nourishes us all with its beautiful fragrance. We honor the 3 eyed One [energy/perspective/experience] that liberates us from the bondage of death and frees us into immortality, just as a fruit falls free of the bondage of the vine.)

SoundSelf is a sensual exploration game about the intrinsic pleasure of playing instead of the rewards of winning. You use your voice to explore a hypnotic world of sounds and visuals that feel like they are emerging directly from your body. Each tone will navigate you through strobing tunnels-of-light, impossible shapes, and into a meditative trance. The result is an elegant symmetry of image, sound, and body that takes advantage of loopholes in the way you perceive to facilitate a new experience of yourself and your world. Each play-through lasts one extremely intense hour.

Geobacter Micropulse is part of a series inquiring into the possibility of interspecies communication. Bioelectric fluctuations from microbial fuel cells create light patterns that emulate the beginnings of encoded language. The cells use seawater and sediment samples from the NYC area, and are activated by the bacteria’s ability to produce energy when deprived of oxygen. The system creates a space where the micro-performance of bacteria is expressed through light.

In this interactive Magical Laughter Workshop we will explore different aspects of our self and connect with our joy through the practice of laughter. Most people would say they want to be happy but what are we actually doing to get there? Learning simple and fun tools, we will uncover and connect with the vastness and bliss that is our true nature. Magic and play re-emerge in our lives.

Malia Kulp's practice, also for Sounding NYC, gathers people to sing and move in resonant spaces in New York City. The opening reception session at apexart blends impromptu singing, movement, and rhythm, and aims to bring out the city's spirit of play.

La Vonne Natasha Caesar (The Light House) is a multilingual poet, healer, and artist. She is a Yoga Alliance certified Hatha Yoga instructor, Kemetic (Ancient African/Egyptian) Yoga instructor, Thai Yoga bodywork practitioner, Shamanic and Reiki attuned healer, and has a BA in French and MA in Creative Writing. In both her healing work and creative expression, she incorporates her study and practice of Shamanism, breathwork, birthwork, Sanskrit mantra, sound healing, Yoga Vedantic Fire Rituals (Agni Hotra), Vipassana, and other meditation techniques.

Robin Arnott lives in Austin and Black Rock City. He is an audio designer and interactive artist, best known for "that creepy gas mask game," Deep Sea; and "that chanting game," SoundSelf. He is also the curator of Indiecade's annual "Night Games" party.

Interspecifics Collective is a nomadic multi-species collective experimenting in the intersection between art and science. They embrace hybridized practices among different disciplines and living organisms, open knowledge, and precariousness as a challenge. Their current lines of research are based in the use of sound to understand the bio-electrical activity of different bacterial consortia, plants, slime molds, and humans using DIY and a custom-made set of hardware they call ontological machines.

Lisa Levine is an artist, healer, and the founder of Maha Rose Center for Healing. Her background in art combined with her current practice of Chinese medicine create an earthy, compassionate, and playful approach to healing. She works with acupuncture, shiatsu, Reiki, breathwork, bodywork, and guided visualization, but her very favorite medicine is Laughter.

Malia Kulp is an electrifying performer, singer, teacher, and sound and energy healer. Her passion for improvisational singing, dancing, community, and consciousness-raising inform her facilitation of both large song circles 'Sounding' and intimate classes 'Vocal Improv.' She conducts group and private sound and energy healing 'Sonergy Sessions.'
