We face two problems. The abundance of noise from our communities pulling us away from our truth, and ourselves getting in the way of our desires. “La Voix,” by artist-photographer Oumou Traoré is a series focused on dance, movement, and artistic commitment. It tells the story of a woman’s inner struggles to explore her calling. To expand on Traoré’s body of work, Muso Ka Touma Sera, brings, in an intimate setting, an afternoon of soul searching accompanied by impromptu sessions of dance, singing, and open discussions. Join Fatoumata Bagayoko, performing artist and the subject in “La Voix, Fatima Bocoum, art curator, Djeneba Sidibé, spoken words artist, and Oumou Traoré, photographer, to learn the craft of being oneself.
