Margaret Saliske is a sculptor living in the Hudson River Valley. Her sculptures explore how we see the natural world and man-made objects that reside in it. Using photography three dimensionally, she alters the depth of field and location of objects, creating new settings that question the familiar. She uses images of landscapes, architecture and industrial sites. She is also a conservator of painted objects and architectural surfaces, and has worked on the interiors of numerous historic sites in the Hudson Valley, including Olana and Cedar Grove, the homes of Hudson River School painters Frederic Church and Thomas Cole. She has a B.A. from Bennington College and attended the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program in Studio Art.

This Fellowship is an exchange program with apexart and the Seoul Art Space Geumcheon, in Seoul, South Korea.
