Nyadzombe Nyampenza is a photographer and conceptual artist. His work is based on exploring his home city of Harare through documenting its activities and spaces. His work often involves telling urban stories with staged narratives and self-portraits and it has been published in Hong Kong and Zimbabwe. Nyampenza has represented his country at Bamako Encounters Photography Biennial, and regularly exhibits in group shows at various galleries in Harare. Nyampenza has been involved with the collective Gwanza Arts which holds Zimbabwe’s annual photography exhibition Gwanza Month of Photography. He has won an award from the National Gallery of Zimbabwe at its Annual Art Exhibition.
