Zatara McIntyre is a painter from Miami, Florida. In her mixed-media drawings, women bring form to issues of power and race through mythology. She has exhibited in New York and Miami, and was a recent recipient of the Kossak Travel Grant to Havana, Cuba. She is an Open Sessions Artist in Residence at the Drawing Center, and has participated in programs such as Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, Practice, and Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning. Zatara received her MFA in Drawing from Hunter College in 2017, and BA from Florida International University.
