He is a visual artist, working with video, drawing and performative intervention. Concerned with methods of production and representation, his curiosity lays with how the viewer/audience engages with or unravels the creative process. John Beattie's personal expenses were supported in part by The Arts Council/An Chomairle Ealaionn Travel Training Awards, and Fire Station Artists’ Studios, Dublin.
