apexart :: Saturday afternoon silkscreening workshop for kids

PUBLIC PROGRAM

Saturday afternoon silkscreening workshop
for kids ages 6-12

Saturday, March 13: 2-5 pm

apexart invites kids 6-12 and their families to participate in a Saturday afternoon silk screening workshop. While the Franchise Two winning exhibition free size takes place in the Sinudom Silk Screen Factory in Thailand, apexart offers instruction on silk screening basics in their New York space. Instructor McKendree Key will demonstrate the printing process and kids are free to experiment with different images and patterns, including tributes to our neighbors on Canal Street in the "designer bag" industry.

Artist McKendree Key will demonstrate the silk screening technique. All materials are provided by apexart with t-shirts available for $3.

Please join us.
All events are free and open to the public.

apexart's exhibitions and public programs are supported in part by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Carnegie Corporation of New York, Edith C. Blum Foundation, Mary Duke Biddle Foundation, The Greenwich Collection Ltd., The William Talbott Hillman Foundation, and with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council on the Arts.
