apexart invited artists and creative others from around the world to cut, dub, reverse, add to, and otherwise manipulate at least one broadcast commercial to make a 60 second video submission to COMVIDEO.
On view in apexart's gallery space from November 10 - December 22, COMVIDEO featured 124 videos submitted from 19 countries. From November 10, 2010 - January 15, 2011, visitors to apexart.org were invited to view and vote on the videos; over 18,000 votes were cast to determine the favorite works in the show.
The creator of the top scoring video will win a $2,000 prize and the top 5 videos will be presented on a public screen in Manhattan.
