2012 International Open Call Curator, Katharina Rohde, revisits her apexart exhibition and shares the evolution of the idea and the community collaboration that made it possible. Based in Alexandra, a township of Johannesburg, Just Do It! Creative Strategies for Survival, focuses on the network of Spaza shops that are essential to the economic and social fabric of the community, and offer a space of creative expression.
