  PUBLIC PROGRAM
  Poetry Workshop

Saturday, May 21: 2-4 pm

Join us for a poetry workshop for kids ages 8-12 where we will create poetry out of excuses.

All materials will be provided.

Working around the theme of "why I didn't do my homework" poet Danielle Blau will introduce examples of poetry and work with kids to create their own rhymes. This workshop will give kids the opportunity to work on their creative writing and get inspired by the world around them.

Danielle Blau's poems, short stories, and articles have appeared in The Atlantic Online, Black Clock, The L Magazine, and multiple issues of Unsaid, among other publications. Blau graduated from Brown in 2007 with a BA in philosophy, and is an MFA candidate in poetry at NYU's Creative Writing Program. She lives and works in Brooklyn.

Please join us.
All events are free and open to the public.
